Evaluation of Occupational Safety in the Operation and Maintenance Activities of Dams

The accidents occurred during the operation/maintenance activities of US dams between 1984-2018 were analyzed from OSHA database and 88 cases selected. objective our study is to identify investigate potential hazards risk sources responsible for affecting OHS performance in activities. Further, factors injuries fatalities happened these are determined. It found out that 5.2% precaution negligence was related facility wrong design poor maintenance main factors. important point be noted result fatal accidents, albeit few. results also show machine safeguarding not available or provided most 12.7% those who had occupational did use appropriate PPE at all.
